![]() Try to implement some sort of simple restart mechanic before the jam ends. Speaking of falling into pits, I fell into one and kept falling for eternity. I think just raising the ground up a little more in those areas or giving a little more visual indication that you're not going to fall into a pit would make it feel a lot better. There are a few spots where you move downward and there isn't much to indicate that there is going to be ground for you to walk on. Some simple background music would improve it a lot too. Just find some simple sounds for jumping, shooting, enemy dying, etc. Either make the animation/shoot timer a little faster or have it so that the longer you hold down the button to shoot the more velocity the arrow has (with some max velocity).Īdding even some small sound effects would improve the feel of this game greatly. I feel like the shooting mechanic could be improved in one of two ways. I especially liked that you could initiate the roll mid jump. The jump mechanic was decent, a little floaty. I think the walk/run could be a bit faster. It’s only too bad that you can’t adjust the visual settings to make it less dark.I tried playing through the game three times. Things get more difficult, as well, since certain spots in the map will automatically trigger a noise regardless of how careful you are. You also have to be very careful as you explore since making any noise will attract a deadly creature to your location. The maze-like path can be disorienting with just your flashlight and some distant lights as your light source. However, the place is dark and full of twists and turns-and you can only carry one barrel at a time. Each barrel yields 25 so you just need to find four of them in the warehouse. Once you find the generator, it will display “0/100” on its glowing screen. It’s not clear at the start how many you need but it’ll be apparent soon enough. You only have a flashlight on hand and the goal is to find barrels that contain fuel to power a generator. Here, you awaken to find yourself in a dark and abandoned warehouse of sorts. ![]() ![]() Haunted Warehouse is the sequel to Haunted Mountain, which has the same premise but in a different setting. ![]()
